B&S 23 HP (17.2 kW) gasoline engine delivering 3,260 lbf (14.5 kN) of maximum bucket digging force — the same output as the AX-16. Handles compact clay, hardpan, and medium-hardground conditions with authority. More power than the 13.5 HP AX-12 series for heavier excavation tasks.

Hydraulic Pilot Lock Switch

Dedicated hydraulic pilot lock switch prevents accidental control activation when the operator exits the seat or pauses operation. Locks the entire hydraulic system in place — no unintended boom or bucket movement. A meaningful safety upgrade over machines without a hardware lock mechanism.

Hydraulic Joystick Controls

Smooth hydraulic joysticks for precise handling with reduced operator fatigue. Responsive and accurate control for both delicate positioning and demanding excavation tasks — including for less experienced operators new to mini excavator operation.

High-Flow Attachment Ready
